I am looking for a gaming pc build this month and I want to make it upgradable. I already have windows. Any ideas? I will buy mostly in amazon.

Well with that budget it is going to be tough to get a lot of gaming out of it, but the build below should do pretty good at 1080p gaming. The only drawback is that it is a dual core CPU, which some games are starting to require 4 cores (looking at FarCry4 here).

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor ($63.98 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock H97M PRO4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($57.98 @ Newegg)

The build above you can even put in an i7 4690k if you like later, so there is your CPU upgrade path. If you want to upgrade the GPU later you can, but you would probably want to upgrade the PSU at the same time.

I'd be a little concerned about CPU bottleneck in this build. You'd be looking at needing to upgrade the CPU within 1-2 years, if you want a serious gaming rig. An alternative upgrade path might be to get an i5 4460 and wait to get a better GPU when you have a bit more money. You won't be able to play any graphics heavy games at first because you'll be using the Intel integrated graphics, but it might work out better for you in the long run. But as lunyone says, it's hard to get a decent gaming build for under $400. If you went up to $500, you could get the i5 CPU and the GTX 950 GPU.

Tbh I would wait and save up some if you're wanting to get any high quality sort of graphics. A Gtx 970 alone is $350. Otherwise you'll just end up upgrading everything.

I mean you COULD make something you could play on for that price if that's all you're going for.
