I am trying to install windows 7 on the HD, which supposedly has windows XP (supposedly because I took it from another computer that had the XP but in this one it doesn't boot), knowing this in the installation it goes smoothly until the part in which I have to select the partition. There's no partition there then I choose option "Load drivers" but as I have the cd with the drivers from the motherboard do not work anymore, I try to go on the net searching for them but don't find any. Could someone help me? My pc have the mobo gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L and HD seagate barracuda 7200-12 500gb

Solution
Instead of load drivers, click Drive Options and then delete all the existing partitions. When the drive is empty click the drive to select it and then click next.
