Hello, I recently built a new pc with an i5 4690k with an hyper 212 evo heastsink. I was just wandering if 45-46°c is high for BIOS. I also did a light overclock to 4.0 ghz but that increased the temp by 3° Thanks =)

My MSI BIOS usually reads about 10 degrees high as well. I can get 40ish in BIOS and then end up with 30*C once I'm booted up. It has to do with the way the sensors are read in BIOS. I'm sure someone with more knowledge on that subject could chime in, but long story short. That's normal.

A bit. So many things depend on the actual temps, like cooling. Have an Oced 5820 and graphics card antdthey both stay at 36- 38 C after reaching thermal saturation. Took a lot of fiddling to get there though.
