System files of 100 MB each are being created automatically in local disk d and e. They slow down my PC but when I delete all of them, none of them are being created again. They have long names. Only local disk C is safe.

Solution

Those files may be temp or setup files for updates. Unless...
Files sitting on a hard drive do not slow down a computer, just like people sitting in a car that is not moving do not add anything to the gas use of the car. How are these drives configured? Are they just partitions off one drive, sepearate drives, how where they installed and in what partition format? Did this just start recently? If it did, did anything change right before the issue?

The files are actually hidden operating system files. When I unhide them through folder settings, then only they are visible. And the drive d and e are separate drives. And recently this problem has also crept into one of my laptops. There also Local Disk D and E are affected.

Those files may be temp or setup files for updates. Unless it's an odd amount of files you can leave them alone. Don't know how many files you should have or how large they are, but I have seen close to 10 gig of update files on systems over time among the several folders they get put in.
