I am gonig to upgrade to Windows 10 but want to backup my files.

1)How do I do that as there are not many good tutorials??
2) What files do I backup? Is it just the WHOLE C drive that I just drag and drop (if thats possible) onto a hard drive?
3)Will doing number 2 backup EVERYTHING. Game saves, softwares, word doc files etc. I know I dont have to backup when upgrading to Windows 10 but just in case files are lost, I would like to.

Thanks

If you do the Windows 10 Upgrade, it will back up your current image to your hard disk in case you want to revert back to Win7 (30 day window to do so).
If you still want to back up your C: drive, use Win7 Backup and choose to make a disk image to something like a USB hard drive big enough to hold the C: drive partition and possibly a small recovery partition (D:) some system have. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/5409/create-a-system-repair-disc-in-windows-7/
