Im looking to upgrade my PC for my 18th birthday coming up in January.
I currently have a i5-3350p, gtx650ti boost 2gb, Gigabyte b75-d3v, i think like a 500wat PSU from chieftec, and 8gigs of ram (1600).
I dont have a big budget and i wanted to ask if upgrading the GPU to a r9 380x nitro or even gtx 970 is worth it.
In other words is my CPU going to drawback the power of a 380x or gtx970? Is a new CPU inevitable in this situation?
Btw im looking to game on 1080p, high/ultra at 60fps, will this be possible with i5 3350p along side these?
I know the 970 is more powerful so is the i5 gonna bottleneck either of them (or both) ?
Thanks in advance guys.

So you're saying that if i upgrade only the GPU and PSU, the i5 3350p won't bottleneck the r9 380x?
Did i understand that correctly?
Also what PSU wattage should i get if so?

Correct, Also I would go with atleast a 650w power supply, or possibly a 750w if you want a little "wiggle room". and no, there will be no bottleneck. and for your choice in graphics cards, both are great cards. the gtx 970 obviously outplays the r80 (thats why it is more expensive), but both cards would be a great choice
