You really don't have any limitations based on the motherboard that I can think of. All PCIe x16 cards should work fine. The only possible limitation might be due to the older, slower phenom II X4 965 @ 3.4 GHz not being able to keep up with a high-end super fast card. The other thing to consider is the PSU limitation. But that still leaves a wide assortment of mid range and faster cards to choose from.

Btw, you really need to increase your RAM. Either find a matching stick to the one you have now, or just purchase a new matched pair of 2x4GB. Plus the fact that with a single stick, you can't make use of dual channel memory mode for ~10% speed bump over single channel mode that you are in now.

So if I was to get something like a GeForce GTX 750 Ti and replace the RAM with two Corsair Vengeance 4GB sticks there shouldn't be any problem with them working with the other parts of my PC?

That would be fine. No issues I can see. Keep in mind, you can even go with faster gfx cards if you want. The Ph II X4 965 can keep up with the GTX 950 and GTX 960 too.
