Hi All
Thanks for your help in advance.

Just built my first PC and I'm having issues with the graphics card.

Build
Operating System
Windows 8.1 64-bit

CPU
Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40GHz
Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology

RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24)

Motherboard
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 (CPUSocket)

Graphics
VX238 (1920x1080@60Hz)
Intel HD Graphics 4000 (ASRock)
ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 / HD 7900 Series (ASUStek Computer Inc)
CrossFire Disabled

Storage
238GB PLEXTOR PX-256M5S (SSD)
1863GB Western Digital WDC WD2003FYYS-02W0B1 (SATA)

Firstly how do I know which graphics card my PC is using? I obviously want to utilise the AMD Radeon for gameplay.

Secondly I'm having issues with the driver software for the AMD Radeon.

GPU tweak gives me the error message "Fail to load dlls. Please install VGA driver." - I've looked at other threads and the fixes havent worked.

I used the autodetectutility and checked the driver was up to date from the device manager menu. I uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled the driver. Both times I was told my divers were to date but when I try to open the Radeon settings I get an error message stating "No AMD graphics diver is installed or the AMD driver is not functioning properly".

Please help!
Thanks
Lydia

Solution
Whichever the monitor is connected to will be used. Do not plug the monitor into the mobo.

It's not unpredictable when it doesn't exist. There is no switching on desktops. It is not wired for seamless switching like laptops and the desktop drivers do not have the feature like mobile drivers.
