Can't decide what I should do regarding CPU

I plan on building my first gaming PC this Christmas (Not important, just picking up a few items on sale) and I can't decide how I should do this, I was planning on an all-white build with purple-led case fans or a black-blue build with blue LEDs.

I can't tell which build path I should choose, I've already decided a barebones build to use, I just need to add in a CPU and Motherboard.

I've considered the FX 6300, FX8350, i5 4590, i5 4690k, i7 4790k, and i5 6500.

I can't choose which to build, I do plan on doing some light video editing using Sony Vegas Pro, and very occasionaly use Photoshop, I'd choose AMD's 8350, but the only white motherboard they ahve is 970A krait and I hear its a bad Motherboard for OC and AM3+ is dead-end right now

I was going to choose Intel haswell processers but I hear they're end-of-life (dead-end) and that the 1151 (skylake) socket will support future CPUs like kaby lake and have DDR4 and stuff, but it is pretty pricy.

I could also wait for the AMD's new "Zen" processors releasing 2016, but I don't know how expensive it could be.

Heres my barebones build, which CPU and Motherboard and GPU would you attach with it?

Thanks in advance

End of life doesn't mean anything really as the performance is very good. Won't have to upgrade for a while.

For this one I'd choose i5-6600k + Asus white/black motherboard.

Also the power supply doesn't have to be white, as you won't see it in the S340 case. And an update, this NZXT power supply is not a good quality unit. So I'll change it aswell.

GPU is up to you.

First, you can't pick the power supply because it's white. The Hale 82 is a piece of junk (tier 4). You need a quality unit if you don't want your new pc to get fried.

Second, if you'll only be doing light editing the i7 would not really be a necessity. An i5 can do the job if gaming is the priority.
