Hi guys so before I tell you about the issue I will list my computer specs, tell me if you need anymore info!
CPU- i5 4590 (6M Cache, 3.3 GHz)
Graphics Card- EVGA GeForce GTX 950
RAM- Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 1600 (PC3-12800) 240-Pin UDIMM Memory
Power Supply- Corsair CX Series 500 Watt ATX/EPS
Internal Hard Drive- 1TB
SSD- Kingston 120 GB
OS: Windows 10 64-bit

So first and foremost, I built this computer with the help of a friend and the only operating system I have ever had is windows 10. I have thought that it might be a windows 10 issue and have been considering buying windows 7 but decided to post here first.

The lag and FPS drops are very random, some days it will be fine for 4 or 5 days, then for 2 days in a row it will be very laggy and I will experience very low FPS. Please note that there is no consistency with these issues, which is what is baffling me. The games I typically play are Counter Strike Global Offensive, H1Z1, Just Cause 3, Rocket League, Fallout 4 and occasionally league of legends. When my computer isn't lagging I can max out Fallout 4, Just cause 3 and every other game I play perfectly fine but with the lag I cannot even bear playing them.

Just for reference these are the usual framerates with and without lag:
CSGO without issues: 300-350FPS
CSGO with issues: 40-70 FPS

LoL without issues: 200-270 FPS
LoL with issues: 45-75 FPS

Thanks for any and all help any of you can provide, I hope to get this issue sorted out soon so I can play lag free!

Solution
Use Task Manager to see if there is RAM available for the game , and to check if any other program is using a lot of the cpu's power

Task manager is easy to get to by right clicking the start button

Hey Outlander, firstly thank you for replying and trying to help me, I really appreciate it! I haven't monitored my computers RAM before but I have monitored my CPU temps and even during times of lag the Temps are always right where they should be and I've never seen them be too high before. Oddly enough, today is one of those perfectly fine days. All of my games are running smoothly but here is what I found. I am using about 3.5 of my 8 available GB of ram when running CSGO. About 80% of my CPU is being used when playing csgo at 300 FPS~ On average settings. One odd thing in my task manager is something called "System and compressed memory" I have never noticed this before and it is eating up 20-25% of my CPU even when I am idle and not playing a game.
