Hello, I am having problems with Directx not allowing me to play 3D games, aswell as 2D games. I have tried to update the video card 3 times via windows, and it would not do anything besides saying "Searching online for software". I have also installed the correct display driver(341.92-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-32bit-international) but when in the NVidia Display driver setup stage, it says "This graphics driver could not find compatible Graphics hardware".
Directx also seems to have problems finding the video card, as it is not in the details of my computer below. But here is my video card : NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250. Thanks

Solution
Hi John,

There are a few things you can try.
1. On the NVidia drivers page try the automatic driver detection tool.
but first download Java http://www.java.com/en/download/
then
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx

2. Ensure all tools and drivers are 32 bit (like you OS) .

3. If that doesn't solve the problem download the NVidia driver removal tool from here: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

I see you only have 1 gig of RAM and window 7 32bit. That PC will need an upgrade but hopefully the above points will solve your issue.

Hope this helps,
Gabor
