This issue has been annoying me and i hope to get this fix.

I connected my MOBO to my monitor, it works fine.
But when i connected my screen to monitor it created the issue
Would a clean uninstall of the drivers fix this?

No idea why this black screen is so random with people (including me) since November. I uninstalled this, reinstalled that, clean this and that. Rolled back drivers installed older control center etc. same thing.

Yesterday I thought maybe the card is just failing (r9 280 I got in June) so I reinstalled an old 6670 and had no crashes/black screen, I read reviews of cards on Newegg and most of the manufacturer response first step was "make sure the card and power connectors are firmly in" Couple of days ago I did a dust clean so it was probably not seated right even though it was snapped in the mb. So took the old card out and put the new one in again pressing all connectors in firmly and haven't had any problems all day yesterday.

Maybe try that? Have you removed the card recently? Could be failing ram? Try one ram stick at a time and see if it still happens
