sata to molex then to 8 pin

Hello i got my new graphics card.But i do not have 8 pin to 8 pin cable.So i bought male sata to female molex.I want to connect this cable to male molex to 8 pin.Card got 16pin power slot.Will it work this way ?

What PSU are you using? What graphics card?

Its not a good idea to connect it in that way...

A good 750w psu should have two 6+2 pin pci-e connectors. What make of psu is it? (silver isnt a make as far as i know)...

those 6+2 cables will be here on wednesday.i cant wait to use my gpu tho.its xigmatek's built-in psu btw.it came with xigmatek talon case

You should replace the PSU... chances are its crap. If they didnt include two 6+2 cables on a "750w" psu then that doesnt sound good..

they did.when i sold my old gpu,i shipped the cables in the box...the guy i sold to will send me the cables today and they will arrive wednesday.

it wont power on anyways.till i can get my cables back i wanna try.but gpu is 3 days old so i dont wanna risk it up.what do i do ? please guide me here
