I tried to install an Intel Pentium 4 '86 3.00GHz 631 Malay SL9KG processor into my Mum's ms-7525 ver 1.0 Boston motherboard, it fit (or so I thought) well, plugged everything back in and not much happened, power light on, all fans working but no video input and no hdd light!!! Is it the processor socket? I got the p4 on ebay, used, maybe not working aka a dud? Mum's pc is a Compaq Presario SR5620AN, original cpu is a celeron e1200, windows 10 32 bit, 4gb ram, recently installed a nVidia GeForce GT 610 GPU, has had screen freezes and blue/black screens latest gpu drivers installed. Can't update BIOS, HP oem or something, lol!!! Am I wasting my time with the p4 and this mobo or am I better off buying a cheap mobo on ebay that the p4 will fit? Any and all help will be appreciated, thanks in advance!!
