Hello,

I am looking to upgrade my Graphics Card, so please don't tell me to upgrade my CPU, I'm upgrading it a bit later.

So, I am looking to upgrade my R7 260x to a new GPU, around the price of £130. My PC specs are as follow:
CPU: Intel Pentium G3220
GPU: Radeon R7 260x
RAM: 4GB
HDD: 1TB
Motherboard: GIGABYTE H81M-H
PSU: 600W

If you'd like any more info, feel free to reply.

Don't tell you to upgrade your CPU?

Well... honestly... upgarding your GPU wont do a whole lot for you with CPU. Your CPU is a huge bottle neck that will prevent any real increase in performance. So.... Upgrade your CPU.

I agree with Kenneth. You will get very little performance boost if you dont upgrade your cpu...

I said not to suggest that - I'm getting a CPU upgrade soon.

But it wont make a difference. If you get a better GPU, your current CPU will bottleneck and you will get little to non existent performance improvement. I'm sorry but this is the truth.

But hey if you want to upgrade your GPU you can do so... Your best bet would be an GTX 750 Ti ... Falls well under your price range.. If you're willing to go as high as £150 you can get a GTX 950 .... If you're an AMD guy go ahead and buy an R7 370... These are all mid range cards so dont expect high end games to run smoothly

You know, you shouldn't just pick a best answer just because it pleases you and tells you what you want to hear. You need to pick the answer that actually helps you and other people in this community who have the same question...

And how was the answer not correct?

He already stated in the OP he is upgrading his CPU, and requested a GPU upgrade within the budget. I suggested the GTX 950, which looks to be the best graphics card in the budget.

The 750 ti you suggest would not even be a noticeable upgrade from his current 260x...

No, I'm well aware that there will be a bottleneck. I'm just getting the CPU a bit later, and I am getting the GPU first for certain reasons. And if somebody is reading this that is trying to find what to do - upgrade the CPU, it is the best thing to do.
