PC won´t work after installing new RAM

Hi. I have searched the forum and found similar problems but I couldn´t find anythung that helped me. So here goes: I went out and bought myself a new RAM (Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600Mhz DDR3) and went on and installed it. When I tried to boot up the PC it wouldn´t show anything on screen and shut down after a while, then rebooted by itself.

So I shut down the PC unplugged it completely from power and changed it back to my old RAM (HyperX Genesis 2GB DDR3). And that works.

Why doesn´t my new RAM work? It should be all the same specs as the old ones I have.

Thanks in advance. :)

EDIT: It says on the back of my Mobo-packing: "4xDIMM, dual channel, max. 16GB, DDR3 2133(O.C)/1333/1066MHz.

Does this mean my motherboard DOES NOT SUPPORT this 8GB 1600MHz RAM?

Solution
I should have picked up that typo myself, but the part number CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10, is still not compatible due to higher density memory chips used in the module.

Basically, the P7H55 M Pro only supports modules with capacity up to 4 GB. Alternative 4 GB module(s) will have to be found.

Try different ram slots.

Ok, so you say you went out and purchased a 2nd RAM stick, correct? Is this one only similar to the stick you already had in your system or do their models match exactly?

When you buy RAM, you usually want to buy a RAM kit. This is a set of RAM that is designed to work together and thus removes any possibility of issues (aside from DOA RAM of course). It could be that your RAM just isn't working well together.

You should at the very least test this out. Taking out all your RAM. Put one stick in your first RAM slot then boot. Repeat this process for each RAM stick. If one stick doesn't boot you now know that stick is the issue.

I tried this. But that didn´t fix the problem. I tried with only the new RAM stick. And the problem persisted.
Maybe the 1600Mhz stick just isn´t supported by the motherboard?

It's not going to work. You are trying to install two different RAM sticks from different manufacturers. You need to buy two of the exact same RAM sticks.

Unsure which number on the memory you´re after, but this is whats on the memory stick:
CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10,
8GB (1x8GB 1600MHz),
780051,
124604859,
10-10-10-27,
1,50V ver2,21.

I tried also with only ONE stick, only the new one without the ones I already have. Didn´t work either.

So I have searched the Internet desperately for any answers. I found out that The MOBO is set to 1333Mhz as standard, and I may have to play around in BIOS to to set it to accept 1600Mhz sticks??? Any ideas?

I typed wrong, this is the right nummer: CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10

He shouldn't' shop around for any other RAM stick other than one identical to the one he already has unless he is going to buy a whole new set of sticks. I'm going to repeat what I said earlier, mixing sticks is a bad idea and it would be a huge facepalm moment if you installed a different stick and got nothing again.

Basically agreed.

But even getting a module with the same part number as the existing module(s) may not work either due to variances in module characteristics (apart from voltage, frequency and timings). Single module replacement will require trial and error using modules with identical principal specifications until a compatible memory combination is found.

And, replacing the entire existing set of memory with a kit of pre-tested compatible memory would solve the issue of incompatibility with each module quicker.
