How can I connect my GTX 970 to both my computer and TV?

So I want to use my TV, which is right next to my computer, for gaming/dual-screen. I have two HDMI cables but the GTX 970 only has one HDMI slot. So I was wondering if you guys think I should get an HDMI splitter (I don't know if there's any consequences for using two cabled in one slot) or if I should get a DVI cable for my computer. The GTX 970 has 1 HDMI port, 2 DVI ports and 1 Display port Any tips?

Solution
the better bet would be using hdmi cable for one and an DVI to hdmi cable for the other if our wanting to drive both displays at the same time.

Display port also transmits audio. No issues with it driving a second monitor.

Oh never mind your right I didn't think display port sent audio for some reason.

not always true. I run dvi to hdmi with sound (i have since the gtx 285 days)...the caveat is not all video cards support audio over DVI. my experience is most modern GPU's don't have an issue with it. But it is worth consideration.

Referring to displayport to hdmi not DVI to hdmi. Yes, not all cards do support audio. But considering he's running a GT970 I'm going to assume it does unless otherwise stated.
