Hey guys!

I need to get a CPU Cooler (Heatsink + Fan) and I want to know what size to get? Here is some more information:

Mobo: ATX
CPU Socket: LGA-1151
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5ghz SkyLake
Case: Mid-Tower ATX

I just need to know what size (in mm) cpu cooler do I need. Please respond as quick as you possibly can, and if you need more information, I will try my best to provide you with more.

Thanks

Unless you have case size restrictions its not the size of the cooler that matters. You just need to have one that's compatible with your CPU's socket type, in this case one that fits LGA 1151. However, if it is the size of the case your worried about then we would need to know the specific case to help you.

I'm not too worried about the case (Raidmax Vortex v4) but I was just making sure what size to get. So, its all based on my socket (LGA1151)? So If i find one compatible with LGA1151 it'll be good?

Yeah, you'd be good to go. If youre really worried just ask when youve found one that you like. The reason why you cant go by mm is because it isnt the size that causes issues its the mounting hardware. Each socket has it's own mounting solution for attaching the cooler to the CPU and motherboard. If it says LGA1151 then you know that the cooler comes with the correct hardware to mount it to your system.

Yeah. I did find one; I'll be going with the one @BadActor recommended. The Cryorig H7. Heres the site: http:// but I'm not sure if it is compatible with my Motherboard (Msi Z170A KRAIT GAMING) so can you please look into that for me please? Thanks so much :)

But it does seem to say Compatible with socket: LGA 1151 (and much more) so I think it will be compatible, right?

I'm almost positive that it will be, and if you're looking for a good price on one here's the best that I could find.
