Hi! I know that 95% of people that see this thread are right away going to recommend to build a computer. But the fact is, up here in canada, it's just as cheap to buy a pre-built as a fresh build. So My question is if IBuyPower is trustworthy, and if their computers are upgradable (Looking at you HP). Thanks!

We have seen too many issues with PC bought from iBuyPower or similar.
iBuyPower and CyberPower are actually the same corporate entity.

Bad customer service, crappy parts, potentially illegal parts....

Price is only one consideration.
Not a chance.

It's just as cheap to buy a prebuilt, but you can end up with lower quality components.

I wouldn't say IBP are bad necessarily, but I would recommend building a rig yourself. If you're adamant in buying pre-built, price it up on PCPartPicker and see what the components themselves cost. Especially the motherboard & PSU - things custom buildres sometimes don't specify. If they don't specify or give you options, you can almost guarantee they're including junk parts.

They use the same components available to you as retail. But they buy in volume so they can get better prices. I can't speak to the company's good-standing, but they will build you a PC just as like you would build. Maybe with less care...
