Hi,

I have a 120mm fan from NZXT with a Molex connector. Now, I have this cable and I was planning to connect it as follows:

Red to connect to the PSU
Blue will connect the fan here
Green will connect to the fan controller

Will this allow me to control the fan speed, or will it blow up?

Your problem is this, the single yellow wire is the taco pin, or what we call the polling pin.

That yellow single wire needs to be attached to a three pin fan header on your motherboard.
So the speed of the fan can be controlled.

You pretty much just plug the 3 pin fan block into the small white block provided on the cable.
Then connect the single yellow wire to a 3 pin fan header on the motherboard.

If your short on fan headers of your motherboard it`s far simpler to buy a three or four pin Y splitter for fans so you can attach two fans to one fan header of your motherboard.
