I have my main router 192.168.1.1 and a second router 192.168.0.1 which has dd-wrt installed and acts as a vpn (it is connected via wan to the main router), i have a device connected to the second router which has a web interface built in but i keep my main pc connected to the first router as it is faster. I've tried to be as clear as possible here, obviously i can access the web interface just fine when i connect my main pc to the second router but the slowdown is the reason for not keeping it connected. Is it possible to access that web interface from my main pc while it is connected to the main router.

Solution
This is the NAT/port mapping problem. From the second router viewpoint the 192.168.1.x network is the internet so the solution are the same as if you had a server on you main network and wanted to access it from the internet. It maybe as simple as putting in a port maping in the second router. The VPN may make it harder, I would try the port mapping and if it does not work then come back and ask. The vpn setup where only certain traffic goes into the vpn tunnel tends to be a complex setup.
