Moving Hard Drive to a new PC.

Hi.
I'm soon going to bulid a new PC and the only thing that i dont need is a new hard drive since my current one is pretty new. My question is: What should i do to make sure that the drive is going to work fine on the new PC? Is there any other option than formating or do i even need to format at all?

Hi there Dominik_4,

Your system will most probably not boot.
My suggestion would be to just back up the data stored on the drive, perform a clean OS installation when attached to the new system, put your data back on the drive.
