Considering H110 motherboard with 2 DIMM slots. It has 2 memory channel and 1 DIMM per channel. How does this run the RAM in dual channel when each stick in its own channel? I am confused because a 4 DIMM slot mobo has two channels as well, so it must run 2 sticks per channel.

Will this 2 DIMM slot mobo run 2 sticks of ram just as efficiently as a 4 slot one?

This is the motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128873

You are correct.

Channel and slot are used interchangeably, but they aren't actually.

A slot, of course, is the physical object. Dual channel boards will have two channels. A and B, often labeled A1 B1 A2 B2 on four slot boards. In the case of motherboards with two slots, both are of one channel and really don't need labeling. If you put in a matched set dual channel mode will be enabled. (Depending on the board, mixed mode may also work, ie 4GB + 8GB will have 8GB working in dual channel and the remainder of 4GB running in single channel mode.)

Quad and Triple channel memory systems generally have twice as many slots as channels. Triple will have 6, Quad will have 8. Though there are Mini ATX quad channel boards with 4 slots.
Yes it will! All that 4 slot boards have over it is they can have more capacity that is you can have 2 more of the same modules.
Dual channel is on your board 1 slot pair channel on a 4 slot board 2 slots pair channel and most people just use 2 modules which then runs just like they had 2 slots.
