USB ports randomly stop working?

For some reason recently my USB ports will just stop working with no warning. This means that my wireless adapter, mouse and keyboard etc stop working and i have to force restart the pc to get them to work again

My motherboard is a Gigabyte 78lmt-usb3 if this helps

Go into Device Manager and drop down Universal Serial Bus Controllers and then Right-mouse click any USB Root Hub to select Properties. Under the Power Management tab you can uncheck "Allow the computer to turn Off this device to save power" box.

See if that helps.

Correct, it will make that change to the whole USB hub, I believe.

Just an FYI: from what i can see it seems to be that you have to set it on all of them

Sometimes your motherboard will also have USB power management options in the BIOS. Might be worth it to take a look.
