PC Wont boot.help noobie.Surprise gift.

Hello from finland! I just build my first gaming pc with help of tutorials and research.Problem is that my pc wont boot up.when i press power button only motherboard red light and GPU light turn on.cant even open dvd drive.I have been watching many forums and i did reset my CMOS and checked cables nothing helps.if we can start my pc together i will give you surprise gift.SPECS
-GPU asus gtx980
-PSU corsair750M
-CPU i7 4790k
-Motherboard asus z97 pro gamer

Is the CPU power cable plugged in?
Is the power switch cable plugged into the correct spot?
Were you grounded?

If all those are a yes, I would remove the graphics card and try using the onboard graphics. Also, use one stick of RAM.

And is your motherboard on the standoffs correctly? Make sure there's no shortage.

i have been working with this problem about 4hours now so i go sleep. i will check standoffs tomorrow.BTW i tried that ram thing

Go over this checklist, don't skip any. You'd be surprised the simple things you can miss. so the red light that is on is actually somekind of sleepmode if that helps
