Installed the new card and my asus Sabertooth 990fx R2.0 gave me 1 long beep and 3 short ones.
I have installed the new driver and I am still getting a black screen
EDIT:
i used the eight pin connector to plug in the gpu, there is also a slot for my other 6 pin. is that for crossfire or should i also plug that in to the gpu?

I dont know computers too well as i bought the gaming rig prebuilt. need in-depth answers
links are very helpful
thanks

asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0
AMD 8350 eight-core 4.01 GHZ

*new graphic card*- MSI R9 390 gaming 8G

Solution
From your motherboard's manual the beeps mean that it doesn't detect a VGA card (page 2-18). So you either have not seated/pushed the card all the way down correctly, or you have received a faulty card.

I had that problem last year and I found out it had to do something with my memory sticks. I had to re-seat them over and over again, until I found the combo with which I could boot. Don't ask me why, I don't know the answer. I wrote with a marker on them 1-2-3-4 so I knew which one goes where if I re-seat them or for whatever other reason. If you only have 1 stick, try another slot. Good luck!
