Just upgraded from Radeon 6850 to R9 380 and something isn't working.

Hello, I built my computer back in 2011 and wanted to play some modern games. I ended buying The R9 380 during Cyber Monday but nothing shows up on my monitor after installing the GPU.

Motherboard: MSI 7673 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130571
CPU: i5 2500k
GPU: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=9777416&CatId=11972
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?nm_mc=AFC-SlickDeals&cm_mmc=AFC-SlickDeals-_-NA-_-NA-_-NA&Item=N82E16817341017

The initial problem was that the 380 needed a second 6-Pin modular cord so I ended buying this
http://frys.com/product/6969147?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG as the 2nd PCIe connector. However, I'm still having the same issues and I am totally clueless on how to fix it.

Your PSU should have already had 2 PCIe power connectors, so you shouldn't need the adapter cable.

With both PCIe connectors firmly attached to the GPU, does anything ever show up on your display (like the BIOS splash page)? Also, how are you physically connected to the monitor (DVI, HDMI, VGA, etc)?

I vaguely remembering the pouch that the PSU came with. It's been years and that pouch is long lost. Does the molex end have to be connected as well? Or just the 6 pin ends from PSU to GPU enough?

Okay, I found the 2nd 6-pin PCIe connector but nothing changed. I played around with the with the displays but every combination I tried ended with "No Signal Found"

Also my mobo doesn't have a VGA port.

Yeah. My old GPU only required one PCIe connector. I went and bought that molex to 6-pin, and I also found (and tried) the 2nd PCIe connector that came with the PSU.
