Hey,
So I bought a Netgear Powerline 1200 only to find mine was broken (Support helped diagnose it). I see that is has bad reviews, and don't want to try and get another one from Amazon. Are there any other powerline adapters that work and have good reviews? I'd like it to be around $50 as that's what I paid for the Netgear on Amazon.
Thanks,

They all are pretty much in that price range for the av2 models which claim to do 1200m. You should not see huge difference in the performance and your house wiring will the main factor. In most cases the reviews are extremely dependent on someones house. Just because they work good or bad in one house means nothing. You will see profession review sites that can show some difference between brands but even they warn this data is only valid for their test house and results will vary.

What is key is how good customer support is. None of these companies actual manufacture their own product so all have issues with unit failure from time to time. It is actually rumored that all powerline devices are made by 2 factories in china and they all pretty much use the same chip to do the main powerline functions.

Gonna get this next: http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-Powerline-Network-Adapter-PLEK400/dp/B006JG5S6K/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8
Is it good? I don't want to have to refund it because it would cost money to ship it back.
EDIT: Getting the 500mbps version.
