I tried all of the steps at: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems
So it starts for just a sec then turns off without any video output. I also pulled out the cmos battery and reset the cmos. It was a real pain getting the heat sink on this motherboard. I don't have a dmm(digital multimeter) or I would test the power supply myself. I am unsure what else to do. I really hate to think it's the motherboard as I got it on amazon and don't want to have to return it. At least the power supply came from new egg. I was very cautious about static the whole way, and I have no reason to think I did anything wrong... Super frustrating was so excited
