hello people, i recently bought a geforce 750ti OC edition since my power suplly could handle it, after buying it i noticed the VGA requires a 12v 20a line and my psu has four 12v 18a lines. Will it be a problem? i hav a molex to pcie adapter but has no cable on the 2nd pin, can i use it to form a 12v36a line?

it will be fine. strange they would rate the card at 20a on the 12v line. that would be 240w which even a gtx970 wont draw. maybe they are accounting for the total system amps on the 12v line.

anyways, the pcie lane itself supplies up to 75w. each 6 pin pcie connector can supply up to 75w and an 8 pin can supply 150w.

some gtx750tis dont even have a 6 pin connector, they get all their power from the pcie lane itself. your model draws a bit more since it has a fancier fan on it and a slight overclock. so dont worry, you would be lucky to hit 100w total power draw with your card and thats about 8.5amps load on the 12v side.

thank you very much, i did the math and 60w/12v=5a, but i was worried about power consumption when gaming at max settings. I know 12x18= 216W, but you can never be too carefull
