How to set Windows Bridged network as private

Hi, I have a bridged network in windows 10. It is providing a shared internet connection to the rest of my network. Right now the only way I can get a homegroup to work is by putting the wan on private and leave the lan on public which is the opposite of what I want. If anyone knows how change a bridged connection to private that would be great. Thanks, lukall87
