Running a monitor though GPU and another through internal gpu simultaneously?

I have a Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 (rev. 1.0) MOBO and I want to do what the title says. Basically have a dual monitor setup but have 1 monitor going through the mobo.

The reason why I want to do this is a long story.
I've gone into the BIOS and changed the setting to allow the IGPU to be used but It's not working, with either HDMI or DisplayPort. Even if just the IGPU is connected, nothing will display through it.

I've never flashed/updated BIOs' before because I'm a newbie and scared of frying something.

Other info:
i7 6700K Processor
Dual GTX 970 (SLI)
16gb RAM

What do I need to do to make it work? Plz

Because I have a 144hz gsync monitor and a 60hz non gsync monitor and they dont play well together.


"Did you install the intel drivers?"

I believe so, the mobo gpu shows up in my device manager "Intel(R) HD Graphics 530"

I changed the internal GPU from AUTO do ENABLED. I couldnt find any other settings on this besides allotted ram, which I cranked to max. I think my bios is like rev 1, do you think updating it could make it work perhaps?
