My system won't turn on, Fans + lights + HDD power on but then nothing happens. NO POST.

What happens:
Removing all ram causes 3 beeps (missing ram beep code)
Removing GPU causes 4 beeps (missing GPU beep code)
Any other variation causes no POST incl. one RAM stick + GPU = no post

What I've tried
Tried a spare HDD, still no POST
Checked all connections, seems okay
Checked the CPU, seems okay
Everything is compatible, been running for 3 years.
MOBO is okay, swapped out old MOBO for a brand new one, still no post.
Left it running for 10 mins and tried turning it off and on again, no success.

Will get some new RAM tomorrow to see if that helps.

Specs:
ASRock 990fx-exreme 3 (970fx was the old one)
AMD fx-8320 CPU
gigabyte GTX 670 2G GPU
GEIL 4BG DDR3
Antec 750w PSU
2 seagate 1TB HDD, 1 has OS installed and 1 is factory fresh.

Any suggestions? This is my first build and I'm still learning. Hoping to get it going soon as I need it for a job,
Thanks

Sounds like a bad CPU. This can happen on budget board if the voltage droops too much under load.

Even on the 990fx Extreme 3 there is only a 4+1 phase voltage regulator. I wouldn't recommend using an 8 core with that. FX 6300 or 6350 should be OK though if you have to replace your CPU.
Are you certain your monitor and video card are working?
Is it possible that it's posting but your just not seeing it on the monitor?
That would explain the no post issue on 2 motherboards...

Also, if you are ordering anything the first thing you should get is a POST Diagnostics card..
It can potentially tell you more about what is going on with your system. It may be able to pin-point the issue. I used it once on a system that wouldn't post, and number code it gave me said the cpu was bad, I replaced the CPU and all set the system was up and working without anymore issues.

I have purchased a Post diagnosis tool, It just came in the mail today. Unfortunately instructions are in chinese so I'm working on translating/ finding an english document. I'm sure my monitor, I have been using it with a laptop and tried a second monitor which also did not work. The GPU I am unsure how to test.

I would like to add the system stopped working immediately after being sent through the mail, so my suspicions are that whatever has broken is something that is capable of coming loose.

Diagnosis tool is in and operational. Oddly it returns an error code of 00 - 00. However after repeated tries it returns the error 36 - 33. Error 36 means "A-20 gates in failure" seemingly this is an issue with the keyboard or motherboard keyboard component. I have multiple keyboards that I have been switching between but no difference in effect. Subsequent reboots have returned "00 - 00" , "_ _ - 0 _" , and "_ _ -_ 0" , Where _ equals a blank unlit space.

Reminder there is still no beep code including POST check success confirmation. Monitor detects no signal.

So, having no success with the diagnosis tool I went out and purchased a FX-6300 like you recommended. That was indeed the problem. Everything is up and running now. Thankyou.
