I was having two 1GB RAM in Slot 2 and Slot 4, recently i bought a 2GB RAM, and tried it to install in my PC, but after installing it a strange sound comes out of the PC when it try to boot PC and PC wont boot up.

I know RAM is okay as when i removed old RAMs and booted PC with new RAM, it worked fine but when it try to boot PC with all three RAMs on board, it wont boot and throw a strange sound its not beep sound, its just strange

Ram is sold in kits for a reason.
A motherboard must manage all the ram using the same specs of voltage, cas and speed.
Ram from the same vendor and part number can be made up of differing manufacturing components over time.
Some motherboards can be very sensitive to this.
That is why ram vendors will NOT support ram that is not bought in one kit.

If you have 4 RAM slots try to put in some combinations, what I mean is try switch RAM in different modules/slots. My old PC worked fine with 3 modules and 2GB DDR 400 RAM with 1GB DDR 400 RAM.

They were working fine before change of CPU, on Intel Pentium E6600 they both worked, but as soon as i changet to Xeon E5440 they stopped working together. Even when I plugged E6600 again it didn't worked.

P.S: Sorry for my stupidity, I'm currently answering to 3 themes, so I mixed it, just ignore this xD

Okay i found something, just wanted to know whether it could be an issue or not, my older RAM is of 333MHz and new RAM is of 667MHz.

If this a issue? if yes then what can be the solution

So your upgrade should be 6GB (3x 2GB) of RAM? In 3 slots, which is your mobo?

I have 32Bit Windows which only support 4GB max so i have two 1GB old RAMs and just got a new 2GB RAM, means 1GB+1GB+2GB = 4GB RAMs

What is your motherboard? Maybe it support Dual Channel or Single Channel, maybe you can't use all dimm slots...I think slot 2 and slot 4 are for dual channels and 1 and 3 for single channels..

No I don't think so, I can't find your mobo online for specs...but try 2GB of RAM in slot 2 and 1GB in slot 4, the other one RAM of 1 GB don't put in slots. Try running like that, it should be 3GB Dual Channel..
