I have a Joshua motherboard made by HP (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03135925) with 1x8GB RAM in at the moment. I thought i'd get another 8GB RAM for the other slot. So i did. I got one from amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00J8E92I0?ref_=pe_1909131_77697121_tnp_email_TE_AMZLdp_i1).
I simply put it in the other slot, plugged in the power and all my peripherals, turnt on my PC and all i got was a black screen. Any help? Thanks in advance.

You are trying to upgrade ram and the module you bought is different from the one already installed. Best way to do this is install two identical ram modules from a matched kit. Being an OEM I would not exceed their ram upgrade specs when selecting ram.

DON'T WORRY GUYS. IT WASN'T PLUGGED IN PROPERLY! :|

Wait... Don't jump to conclusions about me being an idiot. Heres my excuse. One of the two clips that lock the ram into place was up against my GPU. Therefore i couldn't really get to it. I later tried again and noticed this problem. I fiddled around with it and realised that it could be pushed in further. The RAM then clicked into place.
I now know that you should spend more time on things. Before I kind of disregarded the task as being simple. It was my own fault.
Thanks anyway.
