Hello...
I bought a Lenovo Z51-70 Laptop, and now i want to upgrade the RAM of the computer.
I has a 8 GB 2Rx8 PC3L - 12800S-11-13-F3 RAM.(LOW VOLTAGE) (800 MHZ)
I want to Upgrade it to 16GB. I have a free RAM Slot.
I want to know whether a 8 GB 1600 MHZ RAM (LOW VOLTAGE) will work along side the 8 GB (LOW VOLTAGE,800 MHZ) RAM Stick ??
Or should i get a 800 MHZ LOW VOLTAGE RAM ??

Solution
According to Crucial's memory adviser your unit can support a maximum of 16GB DDR3L of 1600MHz rated to run off 1.35v. Its always advised to buy rams in pair if you're trying to populate both slots on your motherboard. If you can find the exact same DIMM as you have right now then its fine to go ahead. As per your query, yeas you can populate the second slot with a 1600MHz DDR3L stick of 8GB capacity though it should be exactly the same(internal timings wise) as you have now.

FYI - PC3L-12800=DDR3L 1600MHz

Can you please pass on the 800MHz low voltage stick that you claim is DDR3L and also of an 8GB capacity?
