So guys I am gonna upgrade from my r9 280x which I had no qualms with until I ran ac syndicate on it and it had hit its limits so I have three options that are in my budget a gtx 980 which I can get for 35000 rs (just divide it by 60 for the price in $) and a gtx titan non x which is for 38000 and a R9 290x which is for 35000 keep in mind the Nvidia cards are gonna be 2nd hand whereas the R9 is new both of them are in warranty so no issues there so which should I go for? I'm gonna be gaming at 1080p as of now with an upgrade to 1440p in the near future

Solution
Second hand parts make me a little anxious...as you never know who's treated them poorly. I would def NOT get the older Titan for 3000rs...

I'd prefer a 980 over an r9 290x...especially if it comes with a warrenty.

So at these resolutions is it better that the older titan? How much of a performance increase are we talking about

Looks like 5-20% advantage in favor of the 980. You'll also have a cooler system with less power draw.
