First of all , i know there are a ton of threads out there with the same or similar question.
anyway My specs are listed in my signature.
My cpu supports only 1333 mhz ram, but other people say it can ram higher ram than that
I am trying to oc my ram at 1600mhz with no success , it will wither not boot, or bsod,
i manged to get it to boot but pc freezes after a while
and increasing the DRAM voltage it will give bsod. So stock a 1.50v ,xmp disabled freq at 1600 and timings at auto.
PC freezes..

That is not the point of why do i want to do this, i want to do this to piss of my computer for not letting me do it
but seriously. it has 4gbs of difference of memory score in MaxxMEM.. Gimp and sony vegas. thats why

There is sometimes more than one way to do what you are trying but it also depends on your motherboard and options available. Without knowing your motherboard(plenty of info on that motherboard for you to google), and seeing that you are disabling XMP to get to 1600MHz and using Auto for other settings..... you are probably also overclocking your CPU destabilizing your system. You should read more about your components before attempting these things as a precaution before you damage something.

My specs are right here below my reply / can you see them ? Also,. Ive tried many settings including manual and auto. but what i came across today to overclock the ram is that i had bought 2 different kits of the exact same memory . And as many people say this is just marketing blah blah. Thats what was causing then unstable oc. Now im typing this on 8gb oc to 1600 and 9-9-9-24 stable and tested. the other kit of 8gb is not stable, i tried on its own and its not stable with the same settings as the other kit .
i dont know why .
What i do know is that the kits are different versions , on the little sticker on the ram i notice that one kit is ver 2.12 and the other is ver 7.12
They work fine on stock settings

As far as versions, they may have changed chips, may have changed SPD info, could be a few things. Mixing sets can be problematic (and often are). Without the model # have no idea of what sticks you have, would guess 2 sets of 2x4GB and prob 1333, but over the years Corsair has had a number of 2x4 sets of Vengeance at 1333 some were Cl8, or 9, or 10, etc
