Hey guys, so like the title mentioned I'm setting up a new build and I have some questions about the configuration and orientation of certain parts and I'd like some opinions.

The build will be:
Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 - Mid Tower

CPU: i7-4790k
link: http://ark.intel.com/products/80807/Intel-Core-i7-4790K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_40-GHz

CPU Fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Motherboard: Asus z97-AR
link: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z97AR/

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL
link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231489

PSU: CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027

GPU: Saving up for Nvidia GTX970

With these parts in mind, I had some questions on compatibility of the parts. 1. Will I be able to fit my G.Skill RAM underneath the Hyper 212 EVO or will it obstruct the first slot? (In which case I would use slots 2+4 for RAM?) 2. What Orientation should I have the Hyper 212 EVO for best temperatures? I'm currently only running stock fans in the case. 3. Should I invest in aftermarket fans like noctuas? (link:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608026&cm_re=noctua-_-35-608-026-_-Product)

Any input on these questions would be very appreciated!

Thanks!

Solution
The build looks compatible, considering you have laid out the solution for putting RAM modules in other slots that are not obstructed. Can't say about cooler orientation.
But one thing I will say is get a different PSU than CX500, unless you already bought it. Get an EVGA 550 G2, or Seasonic S12II 520 W.

Found this build, does not appear that the 212 EVO will interfere with the ram.

Best orientation is vertical with push/pull through the radiator being of small consequence. How to set up the case fans is a matter of investigation, see how the supplied fans work and go from there.

I would really invest a little more in the PSU, the CX series is basically bottom of the barrel for acceptable PSU`s. There are far worst ones out there but there are far better ones as well. You could try the FX Core Edition 550W, here is the review.
