Seeking your unbiased opinion
I'll start off with what I have:
Asus M4A79T deluxe motherboard
Phenom II X3 720 BE stock 2.8ghz
G. Skill 16gb DDR3 1333
300gb HD
R9 270x 2GB
700W Thermaltake 80 Plus silver
Windows 7 64bit
So last year or so I upgraded the GPU and got more RAM. My plan is to replace the mb and cpu and get a fancy ssd. I am assuming the other components would work well with the upgrade.
I5 or FX 8320-70?
I am not worried about getting every single FPS. Are future games going to support one of these cpus better? I would like the system to handle Fallout 4, TW: Attila, and Project Cars in the near term at 1920 x 1080 on higher settings. Currently run Attila at medium unit size at that resolution. Kind of surprised it works that well. I would like the best bang for my buck while not bottle-necking a future GPU.
Or do i throw this idea away and wait for AMD Zen and DDR4? But I am getting antsy....
