Never was a gamer, but somehow I feel I am not getting full potential usage of this product, could someone tell me what other use i can get from this unit to my advantage?

Solution

It goes back to what I asked.

What are you currently using the computer for? (Tasks)

What are the rest of your hardware specifications?

If its light tasks like word processor, web browsing, general media consumption like videos, gaining a few more percent speed will have little effect.

If you currently use the computer for media creation, you might speed up jobs by a few percent. 10% faster completion for a job that only took a minute or two won't really be worth it. Much larger video rendering jobs...
I want to make sure I understand this post / question. You have a working computer and you're not sure what to do with it? Not sure what you can do with it? You are looking for suggestions?

Random suggestions:
Create a Steam account. Grab the download from steampowered.com. Browse their categories for the types of games that might interest you. Search them by name at youtube.com to look up reviews and game play footage to see if its interesting. There's numerous free to play games to get your feet wet with.

You can do the same with EA's Origin software.

I should have made myself plainer when i said that I was not a gamer...I am not and not interested at all in gaming, but somehow I feel there is more to that processor that i could get more out of, other than gaming. Am I wrong?

If you currently use the computer for media creation, you might speed up jobs by a few percent. 10% faster completion for a job that only took a minute or two won't really be worth it. Much larger video rendering jobs could really benefit so long as the extra speed does not create any instability whatsoever or data corruption.

You've asked a very simple question, but with no information to base an answer from. In short, making the CPU faster could increase performance. Doing so may cost additional money to really see a benefit. Doing it incorrectly, could lead to a lot of wasted time or damaged hardware.
