Hello, over the past few weeks my entire network has stopped giving access to the Internet, and the error (given by ALL devices, computers, phones, gaming systems, etc) have all pointed to the DNS. of course, I have not only performed soft n hard resets on both my router and modem, and even factory reset both, which will fix the problem for a little while but the DNS error always pops it's head back out. The network worked flawlessly for a long time and no changes were made when this issue started happening. I'm not a networking expert by any means so any help or advice is appreciated.

I would try manually setting the DNS addresses to the Google public DNS at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. This can either be done in your router, or on each individual machine.

Can you at least ping your ISP address or other outside addresses to insure that you actually have a viable Internet connection?

Didn't mean to downvote your reply, was an accident!
Also, no pinging doesn't result in anything. Pinging a website says no host found, and pinging an IP says it timed out. My ISP is telling me that no issues are detected as well. Changing my DNS also does not change my results.

And to follow up, this usually works for several hours before sucumbing to the DNS error, I just hard reset my router and modem for the time being and it works (which I just did, but I shouldn't have to do this multiple times a day just to use the internet). But it'll go back to the same deal here shortly.

Pinging both Google and the IP result in 0% losses. I'm guessing the issue lies in either my modem or router, but still doesn't make sense, as both operated without a single issue for a long time, and no changes were made when this issue arose.

This is a classic symptom of a modem/router overheating to crash. Is it reasonably ventilated? May wanna call the ISP for a replacement. Tell them the same thing you told us, "have to hard reset multiple times/day."

Yes they're both in a ventilated area, neither are hot to the touch. And as I mentioned, it only took 25 min for the connection to fail with a DNS error again...
Would it help to mention this effects both wired and wireless connection the same way?

Switched out my Linksys router for an ASUS one that T-Mobile sent for free just to see what would happen. Same deal, no connection. Swtiched again to Linksys, and here I am again with a connection for the time being. I feel like it now points to the modem, am I on the right track here?
