Hi, I recently built a PC 2 months ago, and here are my specs:
i7-4790k
MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G
16GB RAM
SAMSUNG 850 EVO 120GB
WD 3TB GREEN
CM HYPER 212X
RM750i
Z97 GAMING 5
CM STORM STORM ENFORCER

and the fans are getting too loud. Can you figure out which fans are getting so loud? Do you think it's the CPU Cooler or the case fans that came with the case? I haven't plugged the case fans into the motherboard (I didn't have the fan controller adapter) so I can't control it. Do you think it's the case fans I should replace or the Hyper 212X? Thanks!

I was just checking out the manual for that board. It doesn't appear that the sys fan headers have any speed control in BIOS. But check it out yourself to be sure.
Btw, if the fans are 2 wire, chances are the BIOS wouldn't be able to control them anyway. You may have to use a...

If the case fans are connected to the PSU directly, they are always running at full RPM, which can get quite noisy.
The fan on the 212 EVO should be connected to the cpu fan header where the BIOS will control its speed according to temperature.

Yeah, the 212x is connected to the cpu fan header, but the case fans aren't controllable as it is connected directly to the PSU with a MOLEX connector. Should I buy Molex to motherboard header adapters?

Thanks, I think I'll buy a fan controller for Christmas to myself.

Sorry, I thought from your description we were dealing with 2 wire case fans with Molex connectors. No?

They look like 3 pins.
