So, I have my AMD Athlon 5350 in an ASUS AM1 microATX Motherboard, and I was looking for coolers on newegg. Funnily enough, the Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO apparently qualifies as an AM1 cooler (scroll down to specifications/AMD socket):

Is newegg wrong or are the other sites online wrong/misinformed? Personally, if I can get the 212 EVO for a CPU cooler for my Athlon to replace the garbage stock cooler, I would be so happy.

Also, I do not want a reference to another site with a spec sheet, because for me, newegg is pretty much the best of the best, IMHO. So, if anyone can link a video or tell from personal experience, or maybe even someone from Coolermaster themselves verify that this is or isn't true. Because of not, oh well. But If so, I know what I will be getting somebody for Christmas. ;)

Thnx, robinspi.

Solution
Well, you could ask Coolemaster directly: http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cpu-air-cooler/hyper-212-evo/

-------------------------------------
CPU Socket
Intel Socket:
LGA 2011-3* / 2011* / 1366 / 1156 / 1155 / 1151 / 1150 / 775

AMD Socket:
FM2+ / FM2 / FM1 / AM3+ / AM3 / AM2+ / AM2
-------------------------------------

So no, that won't work.

That is why I am so confused and wrote conflicting sources. I suppose that may be the case, but it would be nice for "real experience" confirmation... I'll give this thread a little while to live, and see if anything pops in.
