In August I built a brand new PC with an Intel I5 4460 CPU and an MSI Nvidia GTX 960 GPU. Up until two days ago I had very good fps in games. I would get 200 or more FPS in games like CS:GO and close to 250 in games such as League of Legends. But now I struggle to get over 20 FPS in CS:GO and 30 FPS in League. I've tried many different things to fix this, such as uninstalling and reinstalling the GPU drivers. I've even tried switching to the on board graphics in which I used to be able to get 60 FPS in certain games and still there is no change in fps. Could this be a problem with my CPU or RAM? Or could my power supply be faulty? Also on the day that I began getting lo FPS I woke up to a new version of Windows 10 which I assumed was the problem originally, however this problem still persists even after rolling back the update. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem as yours, I'm mostly play CSGO with my PC: i7 6700, GTX 970, 16GB RAM, sometimes i get FPS drop from 300 to 30-40. I've checked all and there's no problem with my PC, maybe it's the cause from the game, bad coding maybe?
