Did I get a bad card?

So I just bought my first GPU (Asus GTX 750 ti oc) and installed it today. Anytime I run Elder Scrolls Online on Ultra High settings I'm getting a pretty good fps ranging from 40-90 depending on environment, players etc... BUT when ESO is running, even in the background, I get a buzzing sound from speakers/headphones and I get lines across the screen. The best way I can describe the lines is that they look like lines you would see in a fluorescent light. My PSU should be plenty for the card (the card needs 150w) as it is an EVGA 500w continuous power with up to 40A on the rail. So I don't think that the psu would be the issue. I have all the latest drivers installed and I have the onboard graphics disabled. It happens at any GPU temp from 30-64 C. I'm new to PC gaming so if you have any suggestions or think it is a bad card please let me know.

Can't say. You'll have to eliminate the monitor by connecting it to another rig with another cable.

It could be the monitor, it could be the cable, or it could just be the port that's connected to the monitor. Assuming, of course, that it's not the same one you use to connect to the TV.

To clarify these issues are only present WHILE ESO is running. When I close out of it the lines and buzzing go away. I didn't have the issue with the integrated graphics. The only other game I have that I could test it on would be LoL but that isn't very demanding

You can allways try to run a stress test on you GPU and see if you can recreate the problem you got in ESO. You can 3Dmark to stress you GPU. So if you can recreate the problem with a stress test it might be your card that is the problem.

Ok. So I ran it through the 3DMark test and didn't notice it and also ran it through FurMark's stress test and didn't notice it either. However, I find it odd that ESO would work fine with the integrated graphics but not the new card. Even on low settings it is still there, albeit very, very faint (wouldn't be able to see it without looking for it specifically)

I see, so the problem might be the game then :p Do the buzzing sound only come when you are playing ESO or dose it come when you are stresstesting too and do you connect your speakers/headphons with Jacks or USB? If not you might want to contact ESO support and see if they can help you, since it is only in their application it happens, but yea. I am out of ideas :p

CPU-Z says:
MSI
Model: 2AE0
Chipset: AMD K15 IMC
Southbridge: AMD A75 FCH

The buzzing is annoying but not too noticeable at higher volumes. What I'm more concerned with is the monitor. I'm not sure if the monitor is going bad or the card is bad but since the issue wasn't present on the tv I'm assuming it's the monitor? Would it make sense for something like that to happen when a card is running harder?

An update for anyone who might read this later. I installed the new card and the problem was still there but much better. Went and bought a DVI cable to test and no problem whatsoever. I'm assuming it was a bad cable.
