Any problems with combining RAM sticks of different speeds?

What would happen if (say) DDR3 2133 and DDR3 2400 were mixed? What problems would arise, or would the motherboard just underclock the 2400 to match the RAM running at 2133?

It might work (depending on how picky the MB is and RAM timings), but it is not recommended. For the best performance and stability, stick with identical DIMMs.

Anything like differences in cas latency, timings and recommended voltage can screw it up though :/ Ram can just be really fiddly half the time.
