Hello guys
For christmas I have a new gaming rig project.
I had a big deal with an intel i7-4790k processor, a hero vii motherboard, 16gb of 1600 crucial ram. I also have a h100i cpu cooler, I plan on overclocking a bit... i also need a good graphics cars because I play heavy games like fallout 4, battlefield 4, gta 5 and black ops 3. I was hesitating between a 970 and a 980. Also, I work at best buy so I have a good price on Zotac cards, are they any good? For the power supply some say 500w is enough but I fear of lacking power... (I will not go sli later I prefer only one card)
I will also get a 500gb ssd. For the case I was thinking about a fractal design r4, do you have any other suggestions? I want a case with a window on the side and enough space to be freely able to play in it.
Thank you guys for your help!

Solution
All I would recommend is that you get the GTX 980/ti as I run a i5 4460 with a MSI GTX 970 4GB and even the GTX 970 can be maxed to 100% (CPU is fine).

In some games while vysnced like in Killing floor 2 on Ultra preset as the reflections kill fps and the ultra textures are rather demanding when all hell is breaking loose it goes to 100% usage and the frames drop. So I play on high with a constant 60% usage, 60fps, 1080p and the game looks amazing when everything slows down in zed time and you see the flesh pound smashing its metal arms around.

The same happens in far cry 4 on ultra, so I play high-very high.

If you want to max out with no issues get the GTX 980.

I believe the Hero VII Motherboard supports LGA 1151 CPU Socket Type, and the i7-4790k is an LGA 1150 Socket type. They might not be compatible but I could be VERY wrong, I'm not a CPU MOBO Expert :p. Anyway, a 970 or 980 would easily run those listed games. And as for Power Supply, people usually give themselves a 100W window from the minimum system power requirement. So for the 970, it requires a minimum 500W System Power Supply, so I would go for a 600+W Power Supply. For the 980, it should be the same so a 600+W Power Supply is recommended. You could also go for a 700+W Power supply incase you wanted a 980 Ti (or for any future upgrades). As for the case, Fractal Designs are always cool, and any Mid Tower should fit all your components

If you're only gaming an i7 is pointless. If you can't get the 980ti better to just get the 970. The build onl needs about 380Ws, so a 500 would be enough, but this is the best quality PSU that best buy offers that meets your power needs. Zotacs are the lowest quality GPUs out there though, so don't be surprised by loud coil whine with them. Also best buy doesn't appear to carry asus motherboards. If you want to order/buy from places besides bestbuy we have better options like amazon and newegg.
