I already have both cards, and the title basically says it all, which do you think would play fallout 4 better?

Offhand, I would guess the 7770 because it has more VRam, but the 6950 is a better card.

I am asking because I am trying to decide which card to give to someone, and I would prefer to not actually install the cards and do a trial and error test as he would know what I was planning.

Any Help?

If you turn down the texture detail you may get a better frame rate on the 6950.
But if you turn the texture detail up then you will benefit from the additional GB of ram but may have a slightly lower frame rate.

FYI, for any future video card upgrades you might do.
