in disk management I thing I forgot to select perform a quick format
it took mabe more than 10 minutes
do I need to quick format it
any damage to the hdd ?
it is western digital black 2tb
I wil use it for my games
my OS is on my ssd

No damage. A quick format zeroes out the directory areas, basically assuming the rest of the drive is good. I only quick-format drives I've been using, if I just want to repurpose them. The full format you did, actually rewrites all the sector marks, and checks for bad sectors. IMHO, it is the best way to format any new drive.
